Maureen's traditional Christmas pudding
Arna sheoladh ag Tina Vaughan
"The Christmas pudding making day has been the most important date for years in the run up to Christmas. My mother Maureen inherited the recipe from her mother mary who had originally inherited it from her mother so it goes back many years. I got married in 1991 so I took on this very important role and Maureen was there every year to guide me and instruct me saying now throw in a cup of flour and a cup of breadcrumbs and I stressed every year as to what size cup I should use!! Maureen passed away in July 2015 so that was my first year to make the pudding without her her by my side. I miss her every day but have kept up the tradition and it brings back lovely warm memories as the puddings get mixed and the cup size still streses me ☺"
